The Biohistory Research Hall (BRH) is located in Takatsuki city in the middle of Osaka and Kyoto.
It takes only about 15 minutes from either of these two cities by train.
The exhibition hall and gallery are open to public without admission.

Open 10:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Closed Sundays and Mondays/Year-end holidays (December 29 through January 4)
  • The Hall may be closed on days other than the ones mentioned above due to preparations for new exhibits, etc.

A Concert Hall for Science Biohistory Research Hall is full of beautiful pictures and videos of the exhibits held by BRH that express – like musical performance at a concert hall – the stories about the history of living creatures and the way of living. You can experience the BRH’s view of the world throughout this book.

  • 18-minutes walk from Takatsuki-shi station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line
  • ※Access from the JR station is more convenient.


We have parking area for five cars next to the hall.

  • The elevators is available and every floor is accessible to wheelchair users and other visitors who have to avoid stairs.
  • An accessible toilet is on the first floor.
  • A wheelchairs is available free of charge at the front counter.

The hall has a little shop of original products including postcards, playing cards, books, etc.

English explanations

Free guide by tablet offers 17 items of photos/movies/text commentary forthe exhibitions in the hall. The content is the same as the E-book.
